Heat Pump Information
What is a Heat Pump?
In simple terms, a heat pump moves heat either into or out of your house. During the cooler months, it moves heat from outdoors into your house to warm it, and during the warmer months, it moves heat from inside your house outdoors to cool it. Because heat pumps move heat, rather than generating hot or cold air, they can provide significant savings on your energy bill in the appropriate climates. For moderate climates, a heat pump is an energy efficient solution to your heating and cooling needs because it can cool and heat your home year-round. In colder climates, it can be paired with a compatible gas furnace for more efficient heating during the coldest part of the year.
If you have any additional questions about heat pumps, contact your local HVAC contractor.
